Madzore to address a Youth rally in Beitbridge and Harare at the weekend

All roads lead to Beitbridge town in Matabeleland South province where the MDC Youth Assembly will hold a rally on Saturday 08 December 2012.The rally will start at 1000hrs at the Open Space near OJ’s in medium density.

The Assembly President Solomon “Mandela” Madzore will deliver a key note address, proffering the way forward for Zimbabwe as the country is gearing for referendum and watershed general elections. Matabeleland South province has been marred by political confusion in the last elections after the split that resulted in the poor performance of the Party in that region.

This rally is one of a myriad of activities that the YA is carrying out to drum up support for President Morgan Tsvangirai in the forthcoming plebiscite. The rally is also meant to call for the release of other 26 cadres who are still being persecuted.

Matabeleland South youths will use this rally to welcome back their commander from Chikurubi maximum prison, which Madzore prefer to call maximum political college.

President Solomon Madzore was incarcerated for 415 days on allegations of murdering a cop and was later released on bail after the court realised he never set foot in Glenview on the day Mutedza was killed. Thousands of young people are expected to attend and meet their leader for the 1st time after his release.

On Sunday, Madzore will lead his team to another youth rally at Open Space opposite Rainbow towers Hotel known as Freedom Square. The rally starts at 1000hrs.
